Mirror Lake

This photo was taken in New Zealand during a trip to Milford Sound. We made a stop, and suddenly, after a short walk, we discovered a wonderful scene – a lake with beautiful reflections of trees, sky, and mountains.

Lonely Willow

This is the most famous tree in New Zealand. Around 70-80 years ago it began as a willow branch planted in the lakebed to keep livestock in check. Surprisingly, after a while, it started to branch.

The Martian Dream

Does life exist elsewhere besides Earth? Is it possible to survive on other planets? These are questions some have been asking in recent years. To fulfill this dream, humanity seems willing to do anything, perhaps even destroy its own planet.

Holding the Line

Wildland firefighters work to establish a fireline during the Caldor Fire in Northern California. Photographed on assignment from within the active burn area, crews work to control and manage the spread of the fire.

A performer stands before the volcanic fire, shaping flame into art. This image captures the raw power of nature meeting human ritual, where heat, motion, and spirit merge into a moment of fierce beauty.

Where Silence Touches

Stripped to its essentials, this image captures the quiet dialogue between human and horse. Light, space, and gesture form a minimalist study of trust and companionship.

Inter-twining

Decontextualized portraits, African women from the remote tribes of southern Angola, shot from behind: an intentional choice dictated by the desire to represent the harsh condition of women whose dominant patriarchal culture, in their respective tribes, prevails, forcing them to suffer injustice, violence and abuse. Women who stand out for the beauty of their hairstyles. […]

Balance

It is a long exposure photograph using lens covering and double focusing with the same lens.

CHILL

An in-camera exploration of light, color, and texture. Through multiple exposures and hand-painted backgrounds, this image deconstructs the traditional “still life.” The result is a highly saturated, rhythmic composition that elevates everyday glass objects into a celebration of radiant beauty and hidden detail.

Fluid Figures

In Lugano, I have a place where I photograph reflections of people in the lake. The results are often playful and slightly distorted, at times reminiscent of Francis Bacon. Water has been my primary subject for over a decade. Two young boys agreed to be photographed, and this series captures the unexpected, fluid transformations that […]
