The Monster
The Sea Serpent sculpture is located in Saint-Breven-les-Pins, France, where the Loire River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Weather conditions are an integral part of landscape photography. In this case, the ocean’s water level, waves, and long exposure helped create this minimalist landscape.

Through photography, I wanted to transform this impressive, gigantic and static sculpture into a dramatic, life-filled surrealistic snake skeleton. My goal was to create a spectacular polyptych, full of surrealistic drama. The implementation of the idea required a specific ocean swell.

Gevorg Tadevosyan’s sculpture “Summer” is a bronze circle with figures of a woman and a man walking around it. In the series of photos I tried to convey the dramatic action of the heroes embodied in the sculpture and the interaction of nature. Stormy clouds are responsible for implementing the idea.

The idea to create this series came while visiting the Tuileries Garden in Paris. The masterpieces of 17th century sculptors fascinate many people. I sought to turn the photos into a mystical story about the heroes of the sculptures. To implement my idea, I used fog filters for photography.
