Morning Jog 2
It was photographed on April 7, 2025 in Baffin Island, Canada. The Arctic has a very special, fragile, and highly interconnected ecological system. The decline or extinction of one Arctic species is likely to trigger a chain reaction that leads to the decline or even extinction of other species. The polar bear is a marine mammal and one of the most representative animals that is threatened with extinction due to global climate change. Polar bears rely more on the extreme cold weather of the Arctic than other animals, as they cannot rest or hunt without sufficient sea ice. On Baffin Island, Canada, I came across a mother polar bear running through the ice and snow with her two cubs. Mom teaches her children how to hunt and survive in the wild to explore the cold world outside. Polar bears were running so fast, the scene was fleeting, and it's not easy to hold up the camera and press the shutter to shoot in such cold conditions.

Stolen Spring
I live in Bucha and work in Irpin. After the Russian occupation, these cities were destroyed. The military landscape has become my reality and routine. Every day I see people who are restoring their cities, their personal lives from the ruins and looking into the future. I created a series of photographs in a historical dialogue with images by Polish photographer Michael Nash, who captured how the photographer used a decorative backdrop to mask the ruins of Warsaw during World War II in 1945-1946. The heroes of my photographs are women who became victims of Russian aggression. The occupation continued in the spring, people who survived this tragic period did not notice how spring passed, how chestnuts and lilies of the valley bloomed, birds flew in. They were deprived not only of their homes, loved ones, work, health, but also part of their lives. IDPs from Donbass and Crimea have a second tragic spring. A stolen spring is a stolen life. Each photo is a personal tragedy, but it is also a life-affirming story of a survivor, a hope that Ukraine will rise from the ruins.

The Language of Eyes
The photo series “The Language of Eyes” captures the unspoken emotions and untold stories of children through their powerful gazes. Each portrait reveals a unique expression—from silent anger and shy innocence to cultural pride and wide-eyed wonder. Despite their diverse appearances and backgrounds, all these children share one common thread: their eyes speak. Without saying a word, they reflect strength, vulnerability, curiosity, and heritage. This collection is not just a set of portraits—it is a visual narrative where every look tells a story, felt more than heard.

Behind the shawl
As a portrait photographer living and working in Iran, I have always faced the challenge of portraying women’s identity and emotions within the boundaries of mandatory dress codes. This project is the result of my effort to reflect that reality — where the shawl, beyond being a social obligation, becomes part of the composition and my visual language. My goal was for each image to be more than just a portrait: to offer a glimpse into the subject’s character and inner world, even when part of her appearance remains hidden. It was important for me to show that even within these limitations, it is still possible to capture and convey true femininity, strength, and authentic identity. This series seeks to guide the viewer’s gaze beyond the covering — toward the eyes, expressions, and genuine human moments; to that place where boundaries fade, and something deeper rooted in emotion and presence is revealed.

self-portrait
At first, the raw image is merely a visual record, but over time, meaning begins to emerge within it. An element that once seemed insignificant may now carry a deep emotional weight. A composition that was just a form may now conceal a narrative. Our minds, even without conscious awareness, make choices in the moment of capture, leaving behind an imprint. But this imprint is not always immediately legible. Sometimes, we need time to see it again, to understand it anew, and perhaps even to reconstruct it.Photographs are not just reflections of reality; they are starting points for a new dialogue with our subconscious. The mind creates the image, even when we have yet to understand what we were searching for.

Color in the Face of Darkness
At Karneval der Kulturen 2025 in Berlin, faces from countless cultures fill the streets—dancing, singing, celebrating difference as a value, not a division. In a world weighed down by crisis, the carnival offers a light moment—but not an empty one. It's rich with meaning. Costumes, music, rhythm, and diverse faces all speak one clear truth: diversity is not a threat, but life itself. The image goes beyond celebration; it touches a deep human need—to be seen, accepted, and welcomed as we are.

generation Z
Given that I was born in 1998 and can be said to be from Generation Z, my behavior and lifestyle are very similar to those of Generation Z children and I understand them more. For example, I am not satisfied with working in an office with a normal salary. My sleep and wake-up schedule and my life schedule are not like my parents' life schedule, where I have to go to bed at a certain time or go to work early in the morning. I spend a lot of time having fun and traveling and I am not always thinking about saving money. This is a characteristic of Generation Z teenagers in Iran. But the worn-out lifestyle in Iran contradicts this and teenagers are trying to dominate their parents with this thinking. This generation is very advanced and intelligent. It does not care about the margins and seeks a peaceful life. This oppression of Generation Z children forced me to show their words visually. To show that they are intelligent, they are trying, they know their lessons before the teacher says them and they can cause change and progress in society. Or their clothing style and type are different from the styles of previous generations (for example: they may wear less hijab, or wear torn pants, or wear non-Iranian clothes.) Although living with the Internet has faced them with problems such as physical and skeletal problems, psychological problems, depression, and loneliness, they are always trying to prove themselves; whether to their family or to the government. They sometimes face failure and become depressed for some reason. But they do not lose hope.

The spectators
Afghan immigrants living in the city of Qom (Iran) hold an annual event featuring Kushti Ba Choukhe, a traditional and popular wrestling sport, attracting thousands of enthusiastic spectators. Instead of focusing on the athletes themselves, I decided to turn my camera toward the sidelines of the event. What struck me as both fascinating and surprising was the effort people made just to catch a glimpse of the match. I tried to capture this experience by finding the right angles, aiming to document the energy and excitement of the event’s periphery.

Emotional Metadata: Amor Fati
Emotional Metadata is a series of fine art photography projects which are an intimate exploration in expressing the world not as it is seen, but as it’s deeply felt. These works are a visual response to the philosopher Friedrich Netzsche’s concept of Amor Fati.Translated as the "love of one's fate". An attitude in which one sees everything that happens in one's life, including suffering and loss, as good or, at the very least, necessary.  Conceptually I take existing images of ‘perceived realities’ and overlay a second reality representing the hand of fate, metaphorically time travelling to creating new unimaginable future landscapes.

Dreamtime
"Dreamtime" is my ongoing 2017-present collection of dreamlike underwater images that are meant to evoke feelings of sublime peace (that fine line where the conscious and subconscious meet), and the creative chaotic (where energy is released that fine line is broken and the potential becomes kinetic). The sequence is meant to take the viewer from the surface of the conscious into the subconscious and back again, a descent into dark, sometimes nightmare-ish feelings, and reemergence into the light, much like a spiritual journey into the valley and back to the mountaintop.

Survivors
This project is a visual narrative of the earthquake that struck Varzaghan, in East Azerbaijan Province of Iran, in August 2012. The disaster affected over 400 villages, with 60 of them completely destroyed. Despite public solidarity and governmental aid, anxiety, insecurity, and psychological distress have steadily increased among the survivors. My focus in this series is not solely on the moment of the earthquake, but on what followed — on the unseen challenges and the long, painful path to recovery. People who lost their loved ones and property have had to continue living under extremely difficult conditions. The early onset of cold weather and autumn rains have worsened their mental state. Many survivors, desperate for relief, sold their land and livestock to opportunistic dealers at low prices and migrated to cities. Others remain, waiting for further help or simply the next event. More than 3,000 aftershocks were recorded in the region following the main quake, amplifying fear and deepening distrust among the people. The aim of this project is to depict how the survivors redefine life amid hardship — how they endure the unendurable while preserving their moral values, health, and basic needs. This body of work is a tribute to the strength and resilience of those who continue to live in conditions many of us could hardly bear.

Never Give Up…
This is the story of a group of young Iranian boys under the age of 16. They have big dreams of becoming boxers. Most of the boys have dropped out of school and live lives full of uncertainty and instability. They have left school, work during the day, and dedicate all their time after work to boxing and nothing else. They work hard to fulfill their dreams. Some of them have family support, but most do not. Soleiman and Mohammad Ali are two of them. (Last year, Soleiman received a full scholarship from one of the largest Kickboxing institutions, but his father didn’t agree due to the family’s financial struggles.) Through boxing, they overcome their fears, though those fears remain with them after the fight ends. They believe that boxing is an opportunity to escape a hopeless future. In this project, I wanted to showcase the true essence of kickboxing in young people, which is dedication, passion, fighting spirit, and courage.

Discourse of the power
Gilles Deleuze and Michel Foucault both theorized about a society of control where individuals are constantly monitored. This concept is illustrated through the lens of a photographer who compares the confinement of horses in stables to the human experience of surveillance. The photographer questions whether animals, like humans, are subject to such control or if their innate ability to forget allows them to escape its grasp.

Pareh
Pereh or gostar net fishing is one of the oldest methods of fishing for bony fish, including whitefish, on the southern shores of the Caspian Sea (Gilan and Mazandaran provinces), dating back several hundred years. In this method, a net head, usually 1,000 meters long and 7 to 10 meters high, is spread out in the sea in the shape of the English letter U by a large wooden boat, and the end of the net returns to the shore about a hundred meters from the starting point. The diameter of the holes in the gillnet is large enough to catch only adult fish and is therefore very effective in preserving aquatic resources and juvenile fish. (Between 30 and 40 mm). After a while, the net is pulled into the shore from its end by the power and jib of the tractor and is collected. As a result, the fish trapped inside the net are gradually guided towards the shore and collected by the fishermen. In ancient times, pulling and gathering the net was done by the fishermen's strength and with the help of animals, and the fishermen created a special cohesion and passion by singing local poems. But today this work is done by the mechanical power of tractors. I am trying to show a part of this traditional and endangered fishing with this photo collection.

The Role of Animals in Human Life
Since the beginning of human creation, animals have played a significant role in people's lives. Domesticated animals such as donkeys and oxen have been used for plowing, farming, and carrying loads in daily life. Other domesticated animals like poultry, cows, and sheep have provided meat, skin, milk, and eggs for food and livelihood. In some cases, animals were also used for hunting wild animals and selling them in markets, or for entertaining people as a source of income. Although today the exploitation of animals through gambling and public animal fighting has become a profitable business, there are also people who keep domestic animals to cope with loneliness and as companions in their lives.

After the death of the lake
Drought is one of the most important and common disasters caused by Atmosphere/Climatic changes that has affected different countries around the world. NASA (The National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has announced that 45 countries will be exposed to drought in the next 30 years and it would probably last for the next 30 to 35 years. Due to its location in the northern hemisphere, Iran possess a hot and dry climate and is considered one of the least rainy countries in West Asia. The drought in the "Sistan and Baluchestan" province has caused the drying up of Hamon International Lake and Wetland, which is the third largest lake in Iran and the seventh international wetland in the world. Many reasons are associated to this catastrophe such as, the construction of various dams on the Hilmand River, the refuse of "Water Right" to "Hamun Lake" by the Afghan side and the instalation and overuse of pumps on the Afghan side of Hilmand River for agriculture applications, just to name a few. On the other hand, the reduction of seasonal rains due to global climate changes has led to the drying up of the "Hamun Lake". These days there are no signs of animal husbandry, agriculture, mat weaving and even fishing anymore, due to the harsh conditions in the region. Besides the shortage of water, the most concerning issue that threatens the livelihood of the local people is the "Haze" which is caused by extreme sand/dust storms. Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon in which dust, smoke, and other dry particulates suspended in air obscure visibility and the clarity of the sky. Due to the absence of water in base of the Wetlands, extreme sand/dust storms could emerge and as a result could generate incredible Sand Haze. These extreme sand storms which could be as fast as 90-120 Km per hour, have caused the burial of rural houses under sand, the death of livestock and ,numerous respiratory and heart diseases for the local people inhabiting the region. These sandstorms have also destroyed the fresh water wells for the few remaining farmlands which have barley survived the drought on the edge of Hamon International Wetland. In conclusion, drought has caused the migration of almost 50% of the people in this region and subsequently the escape of roughly 10,000 Iranian families from Zabul last year .

Lynette, acid attack survivor
Uganda, 2025. Lynette, 27, was attacked with acid when she was three. One evening, she and her sisters were gathered in the house, sitting on the carpet for dinner. Two masked men came through the door throwing some buckets full of acid at the group of women who got up by clicking leaving only Lynette on the floor, too small to move quickly. The main suspects of the attack fell on Lynette’s stepmother, who seems to have harbored a grudge against her daughters and wanted to eliminate them. Soon after the attack she was arrested, but managed to bribe the guards and remained in jail for a little while and has since disappeared. The acid caused Lynette to have severe head, neck and back injuries. She was hospitalized for three years and underwent numerous surgeries. But the pain, especially the psychological one, has never healed. Growing up, she married a man who, after always having despised and humiliated her, abandoned her with two children of eight and six years. Lynette lives in a small village in the arid central part of Uganda: she has never met anyone in her condition and for years believed she was the only one to have suffered such brutal violence. A lifetime of suffering, fear and shame. She never showed the scars, not even to her two children (only to her older sister who visited her in the hospital and looked after her, and later to her husband) and never had herself photographed. Lynette cries as she tells me about her life, but is determined to be photographed: "I want to show my scars, I consider them my true portrait because they describe my daily mood. I do so with the hope that anyone who sees these images and reads my story will become aware of the atrocious violence of acid use as revenge. A criminal act that marks the victims for life, physically and psychologically. Now I know that I am not the only one and this awareness, for the first time in my life, gives me strength".

The Silent Guardians
This photo series, taken in the deserts of the UAE, highlights the vital role of preserving vegetation in arid environments. Drought-resistant plants help prevent soil erosion, stabilize sand movement, and act as natural barriers against airborne dust and particulate matter. In recent years, the UAE has launched several environmental initiatives — including the planting of native species and soil stabilization projects — aimed at improving air quality and combating desertification. These efforts are part of a broader response to the growing dust crisis across the Middle East, a challenge worsened by climate change and water scarcity.Through these images, I aim to draw attention to the ecological importance of desert vegetation and its role in supporting environmental stability and public health.

story of people who will no longer have a lake
We live near Lake Urmia. Every year, at the end of the summer, my father would take us to Baner Sharafkhaneh for fun and swimming. And that was the only place my father would take us on trips but The news was short. "Lake Urmia, the second saline lake in the world, dried up". Without a doubt, this is the most disastrous environmental event in the history of Iran. There are 102 islands in the lake which serve as home to a wide variety of reptiles, mammals, and birds. The lake’s basin is the heart of the region’s agriculture and it has a population of 6.4 million. Almost 90% of the lake has dried up. Draught, digging too many wells, the increasing demand for agricultural water, building dams, climate change, and bad management have led to a dramatic decrease in the lake’s water level. The falling level of water in the lake has led to increasing salinity, lack of food sources for birds and animals, salt storms, the change in the region’s ecosystem, negative impact on agriculture, people’s life and health. The social and economic consequences of the tragedy are growing like a stain. The ports near the lake like Sharafkhane port and Golmankhane port get no visitors. There are no customers in the cafes. Motels and resorts have been deserted, the farms are infertile, the houses are deserted one by one, the schools are deserted with broken windows, soil and salt particles has caused respiratory diseases and the gardens near the lake have dried up. The youth immigrate to the city to afford a living.

Alarm for Lake Urmia
Lake Urmia, one of the most important saline lakes in the Middle East and one of the main natural attractions of northwestern Iran, has been facing a water shortage crisis for years. Reduced rainfall, excessive water withdrawal from input sources, drilling of unauthorized wells, and implementation of development projects without environmental considerations are cited as the main reasons for the continuous decline in the lake's water level. The drying process continues.

Great apes must be considered guardians of the rainforest, and the forests depend on them as much as they depend on them. Deforestation, which destroys the habitat of rainforest apes, is accelerating: every day, the equivalent of one and a half times the size of Paris disappears from the Earth's surface in forests! Most tropical plants use a mutualistic strategy between frugivores and fruit trees to disperse their seeds. Great apes contribute very effectively to this because of their diet, which is primarily composed of fruit, and their large size.

The DANA (Isolated High-Level Depression) that affected the Valencia Community in Spain at the end of October 2024 was one of the most devastating in recent history in Spain. This meteorological phenomenon, also known as a “cold drop”, formed over the western Mediterranean and caused torrential rains, especially intense in the Valencian Community, leaving serious human, material and political consequences. On October 29 and 30, the rains exceeded 600 liters per square meter in this area of Spain. This intensity collapsed drainage systems and caused rivers and ravines to overflow. The floods destroyed bridges, roads, homes and infrastructure. The human toll was tragic: more than 220 fatalities and almost 90 missing. It is estimated that around 300,000 people were directly affected. At an economic level, the estimated damages exceed 18 billion euros, affecting more than 11,000 homes, 140,000 vehicles and 60,000 businesses. At a European level, the Valencia DANA was the largest natural disaster of the period 2023–2024. The European Union has approved 54 million euros from the Solidarity Fund to help the affected municipalities, while the Spanish State has mobilized more than 7.5 billion in aid and repairs. The Valencia DANA was a tragedy of great magnitude that has highlighted the vulnerability of the territory and the urgent need to better prepare society for the growing effects of climate change.

The relationship the Mundari man has with his cows is on a different basis which in turn nurtures the peculiar relationship between man and a cow, developing into a bond Being predominantly nomads, there is no need to worry about how cows will fit into a house as domestic pets. This bond seems to have risen from economical egocentric and chauvinist factors. Black Death Mine Photo Series
**Statement** Title: Black Death: Life of Vanarch Mine Workers Vanarch Mine in Qom is one of the largest decorative stone mines in the Middle East. With an annual minimum production of 100,000 tons of manganese ore, it stands as the biggest manganese producer in Iran and the region. However, beyond being a vital resource for extracting valuable minerals, it also reflects the harsh realities faced by its workers. This collection of photographs portrays the daily lives of miners who work long hours under difficult and hazardous conditions, descending up to 340 meters underground. The miners at Vanarch face multiple challenges due to the dangerous and demanding nature of their job, affecting not only their well-being but also the lives of their families. The dust and pollution in their work environment force them to bathe in designated communal areas—a practice not only essential for maintaining hygiene but also providing mental relief, despite its far-from-ideal conditions. Driven by the need to earn a living and support their families, these workers labor far from home, carrying constant worries in their hearts. Many families remain anxious about their loved ones’ safety, especially as reports of workplace accidents in the mines grow more frequent. Each image tells a **story of sacrifice, hope, and struggle. Statistics show that occupational accidents in Iranian mines have led to countless tragedies, especially in recent years. Reports indicate that many miners have lost their lives or suffered severe injuries, including amputations. One such worker, Hossein, lost his leg in a mining accident and is now unemployed, struggling to provide for his four children. His story is just one example of the hardships and suffering endured by miners and their families. These numbers highlight not only the physical dangers of mining but also the resilience and sacrifices of these workers. These portraits serve as testimonies to the miners' lives, showcasing their determination, perseverance, and hope. Each miner carries a unique story, fighting their own battles. Behind every weary face, there is a life, a family, and a journey. Families wait anxiously for their loved ones to return, fearful of what each workday may bring. Through these images, we must remember that behind every extracted rock, there is a human life exposed to daily risks and dangers. Part of these resources exists because of the sacrifices of minersworkers who desperately need society’s support and attention. These photographs call upon us to acknowledge and understand the struggles of miners and their families, urging us to consider ways to improve their working and living conditions. As we observe these portraits, we should not forget that each miner, filled with dreams and determination, is striving to build a better life for themselves and their loved ones.

Wings Over Concrete
"Wings Over Concrete" is a project about the birds flying above us in busy cities are like performers in a unique dance that often goes unnoticed. While we might not always pay attention, these birds play a vital role in maintaining the balance between urban life and nature. Watching them soar around tall buildings creates a beautiful blend of nature and the man-made world. In the hustle and bustle of cities, birds bring color and life to the streets and buildings. Wings Over Concrete explores how birds adapt to city life and add beauty to urban environments. City streets aren’t just for people—they’ve become pathways for a variety of birds. Doves glide gracefully, gulls weave through crowds, and pigeons perform elegant aerial moves, all while adjusting to the challenges of living among concrete and steel. Their ability to thrive in cityscapes is truly remarkable.

From life to death
In the dance of life and death, the young stand enveloped by the past—a lineage of spirits painted as bones, echoing both vitality and mortality. Originating from Papua New Guinea, the Skeleton tribe's symbolic body art represents both protection and a tribute to ancestors, connecting the living with the spirits of those who came before. These faces remind us that life is fleeting, held by the hands of ancestors who walked before us. Here, innocence meets legacy, where life’s fragile pulse beats alongside the silent whispers of those who have returned to dust. In Memory of Tigress Tibo
It's with heavy hearts that we hear the news of Tigress Tibo's passing in Feb.,2025. Born wild in late 2009, Tibo was a pleasant surprise, a white tiger born from 2 unrelated orange tigers. And she was the only wild white tiger in the world until she gave birth in 2017 to her own white cub, now named Mishka a 3rd generation wild born, wild raised at Tiger Canyon, who now after her mother's passing has the claim of being the only wild white tiger in the world. In October 2023, Tigress Tibo, one of the world's only two remaining wild white tigers, gave birth to her last three cubs. And after five months, on March 1, 2024, I fortunately photographed Tigress Tibo with her three cubs in Tiger Canyon, South Africa.

The Language of Affection
Affection knows no species. It speaks in gestures, gazes, and movements - a quiet language that echoes through the natural world. This series explores moments of connection between animals, revealing how tenderness, play, trust, and intimacy are deeply embedded in non-human behavior. Two arctic foxes burst into a snowy clash, jaws open mid-motion - not in aggression, but in wild, instinctive play. Their interaction is energetic, physical, and yet deeply social, a rehearsal for survival rooted in trust. A mother Barbary macaque cradles her newborn in warm forest light, her eyes half-closed in what can only be called love - an emotion expressed through silence, stillness, and closeness. A bonded pair of Humboldt penguins, photographed in a controlled environment at the Berlin Zoo, bow gently toward one another in a moment of mutual recognition. Their ritual is understated and beautiful - a nonverbal reaffirmation of connection. Two puffins touch beaks on a windblown coastal ledge, their posture almost choreographed, communicating loyalty through stillness. And finally, two rabbits nibble at opposite ends of an autumn leaf - competition or cooperation, affection or mischief, perhaps all at once. These images were taken in a mix of wild and controlled environments, without baiting or human interference, always allowing the moment to unfold naturally. The goal of this series is not to romanticize nature, but to observe and translate a truth we often overlook: that animals, too, express connection in ways that go beyond survival. Through behavior that mirrors empathy, care, and curiosity, their interactions remind us that affection is not limited by language - it exists in motion, expression, and presence. In a world that often views the wild as only brutal or instinctive, The Language of Affection reframes the animal world through the lens of shared emotional truth. From the fierce to the tender, these images tell a story of connection without a single word spoken.

Encounters with the Eurasian Monarch
This series reveals the subtle power of an animal that has shaped the mythology and ecology of Europe for millennia. Through light, texture, and composition, the viewer is invited into fleeting moments of coexistence: to witness, without intruding. The bears appear in scenes both still and sudden. In one frame, it erupts into motion—water flying from its coat in silver arcs. In another a young bear’s curious eyes peek just above a tangle of wildflowers and tall blades - vibrant morning colors framing a gentle landscape. Through green grass, this royalty of the forest stands motionless, surveying its surroundings with calm assurance. A solitary bear walks through the fog-blanketed meadow, rendered timeless in black and white. Finally, we lock eyes with a bear—its innocent, curious gaze holding us in a fleeting moment of connection. Each photograph is an invitation to slow down and take in these brief reveries—sometimes delicate, sometimes bold. A shape in the mist. A ripple in the underbrush. A meeting of eyes across distance. The Eurasian Monarch invites us to witness a world where wildness endures, and remind us of the delicate balance between nature’s strength and its tenderness.

Those last seconds
That morning, we decided to follow four cheetahs on the hunt. We followed them for hours. We passed herds of topis, gazelles, and zebras. We knew something was going to happen. When, five hours later, our Maasai guide whispered, ‘they are going for the zebras,’ I was convinced they would attack the topis or gazelles dotted across the valley. Seconds later, the cheetahs burst into a small group of zebras. One cheetah ran towards us, clinging onto a foal. In those seconds, I took this picture of the mother zebra launching a last attempt to push her foal away from the attacking cheetah. She failed. I will remember those last seconds for the rest of my life .

Relaxing in the snow
This photograph was taken on the coast of Hudson Bay, in Wapusk National Park (Canada), in the middle of a great blizzard. A place where, at the beginning of November, many polar bears (Ursus maritimus) gather waiting for the sea to freeze so they can go out to sea to hunt seals. You can see how the polar bear shakes off all the snow that has fallen on it in the middle of a storm, forming a large curtain of snow thanks to the strong wind. A surprising detail of this photograph is the facial expression that the bear has and which conveys tranquility and relaxation. It is surprising that these animals are so comfortable in such unfavorable conditions. This is the reason why they are in danger of extinction since there is warming in the Arctic as a result of climate change, and therefore their habitat is being limited. This image was taken in November 2022. Canon EOS R3 + Canon EF 600mm f/4 IS III USM + Canon 1,4 Extensor, Focal 840 mm; 1/8000s; f/5.6; ISO 2000

In this fleeting moment, a young deer lifts its face to the sky, caught in a quiet ecstasy among the blooming rapeseed fields. There’s no rush — just the simple joy of being alive and present in nature’s embrace. I didn’t chase this shot; I waited — and nature rewarded me. The golden hues, the softness of the light, and the animal's peaceful demeanor all aligned for a brief second of serenity. Portrait of Grace: Female Superb Fairy Wren
I caught this beautiful female Superb Fairy Wren in a perfect moment of confident flair, her proud stance and her fanned tail on full display while completely absorbed in her own world. I was sitting behind shrubs to avoid startling her, which explains the soft leaf blur partially covering her tail. Being camouflaged allowed me to capture her genuine behaviour - likely communicating social signals with the very pretty blue male Wrens around her. The gentle, overcast lighting worked beautifully to reveal the feathery detail and the dreamy olive and sage background came from a variety of plants behind her, creating the perfect natural backdrop that doesn't compete with her delicate features. This shot represents what I love about nature photography - magical moments when patience pays off and a wild creature shares their personality with you. Achieving the sharp focus on her alert eye while maintaining the shallow depth of field made this encounter even more rewarding. Sometimes it is understated subjects that create the most memorable images. This elegant fairywren proved that perfectly during our brief encounter. Her subtle colouring and graceful proportions tell a story of quiet confidence that connects on an emotional level – something that makes wildlife photography so compelling and addictive.

"I sea you" is a reminder that there are beauty everywhere, and often found in simplicity. I was scuba diving with a buddy on a very barren stretch of seabed, with mainly sand and the occasional cone shells, where he was experimenting with different lighting techniques. Upon closer inspection, the cone shells were all alive and even moving, with their tiny pin size eyes investigating the surroundings. I spent the remainder of the dive photographing their fascinating 1 millimeter eyes. The eyes of Cons mediterraneus are situated at the base of their cephalic tentacles or short stalks. They function like a basic camera, have a lens and retina and they are able to recognize light, movement and form, but not fine detail.

Loneliness
As a psychiatrist, I’ve spent my career listening closely to what often goes unsaid—pauses, silences, gestures. Over time, photography became a way for me to explore these same emotional textures visually. I am self-taught, and my camera has slowly become another instrument through which I examine the human condition. This image is part of that exploration. Titled Loneliness, the photograph captures a lone miniature figure hunched over a rake, seemingly engulfed by vastness. Shot in monochrome with a tight depth of field, the composition plays deliberately with scale, light, and void. At first glance, it may appear surreal or abstract, but to me, this frame is painfully familiar—it reflects the emotional terrain I encounter daily in my psychiatric practice. The darkness that surrounds the figure is not just absence of light; it is metaphor. It’s the silent weight of isolation, of being unseen in a world that moves too fast to notice. The figure appears dwarfed, both physically and existentially, by their surroundings—an image I associate with the lived experience of many patients struggling with anxiety, depression, or the burden of simply enduring. This photograph was not taken on a street or in a bustling market like many of my other images, but it remains faithful to my street photography instincts. It captures something raw and unposed, not in a face but in a feeling—a kind of quiet truth. The use of negative space invites the viewer to project their own interpretation: emptiness, stillness, or perhaps peace. That ambiguity is intentional. Just like the human mind, the image holds multitudes. As someone who straddles two worlds—psychiatry and photography—I’ve found that both disciplines demand the same thing: presence. You have to show up, pay attention, and be willing to sit with discomfort. In that way, this image is also an invitation. To slow down. To notice. To reflect on how loneliness can look different for everyone, and yet feel so universally the same. I don’t consider myself a professional photographer. My work is personal, observational, and deeply informed by the people I meet and the stories they share. This photograph, while small in scale, speaks to something vast—our shared, often silent experience of being human.

Hidden dream
Shif Island is located in the south of Iran in the Persian Gulf, and it is home to about 800 families. The dominant language in this village is Arabic. The occupation of most of the people in the Island is fishing. Women in this area wear colorful or patterned chadors. My goal in this photography project was to depict the quality of living of Shif's women; women and girls who, despite all restrictions, were still pursuing their dreams. Most of these women and girls put themselves behind their chadors, during photography, because of their restrictions. And this situation for me was a reminder of their real life; women and girls with clothing full of colors and dreams hidden behind these chadors. In fact that was similar to their life itself and behind these colorful chadors, was hidden the truth of their lives, and I was trying to illustrate that hidden truth.

As I drove up a high hill overlooking the rice fields in an afternoon, I noticed the stunning beauty of this scene.I stopped and took this photo with a 70-200 telephoto lens and Nikon D810 camera. The income of the people in the villages of Kohgiluyeboyerahmad province is from agriculture especially planting rice. Due to the existence of high-quality lands and abundant rivers, most of the fields are devoted to planting rice. Most of the rice work is done by women.Planting rice requires a lot of water and constant care, and it is a very laborious work, and it takes about a hundred days from planting to harvesting. Rice planting starts in the last month of spring and they harvest the crop in the first month of autumn. The forms and green color of these fields with the combination of colorful clothes of local women create very beautiful landscapes, women who play a key role from the beginning of rice work to the time of harvesting this product and even cooking it at home.

MUSEO
In abstract photography, the act of creating becomes a poetic gesture that transcends literal representation to explore the invisible, the suggested. The images do not aim to document but to evoke and invite interpretation. The process of capturing transforms into a dance between reality and imagination, between the visible and the felt.It is a pause that unfolds to remind us of the details we fail to see — in reflections, shadows, lines that do not tell a story but rather immerse us in a state of pure contemplation.MUSEO is an exercise in resistance. In the midst of the post-photography era and the turbulent times we live in, to stop and take a pause is to oppose, to refuse, and to slow down in order to look again and rethink our surroundings, ourselves, and, in doing so, our artistic practice. The images, captured in various high-traffic museographic spaces, are the result of waiting, patience, and observation — to find silence, order, and harmony.Pure in their photographic essence, they are born with the intention of creating a parenthesis — a space for rest and reflection.

Divine Harmony: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque’s Eternal Glow
In the serene embrace of Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, this panoramic capture reveals the majestic prayer hall bathed in golden light. The intricate marble columns, adorned with floral motifs inspired by Islamic art, rise gracefully toward the domed ceiling, where a magnificent chandelier—crafted from Swarovski crystals and gold—hangs like a celestial crown, illuminating the vast space with a warm, ethereal glow. As an ode to the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, this image encapsulates the mosque's role as a beacon of tolerance, unity, and architectural brilliance. The lush, patterned carpet underfoot invites quiet reflection, while the arches frame a symphony of white and gold that symbolizes purity and divine beauty. Photographed during a tranquil moment just after sunset, the composition draws the viewer into the heart of this sacred sanctuary, where every detail—from the hand-carved walls to the subtle play of light—whispers stories of faith, heritage, and human ingenuity. This photograph not only showcases technical precision with its wide-angle lens and balanced exposure but also seeks to honor the cultural legacy that the mosque represents for the Arab world and beyond. Man On A Balcony
This image was taken in the Gotanda district of Tokyo in December 2024. At first, it was the geometry and interesting architecture of the building’s façade that caught my attention—I began photographing it for its architectural character. Then, unexpectedly, a man stepped onto the balcony. The moment he noticed my camera; he disappeared from view. What followed was a quiet, almost comical exchange. Every time I lowered the camera or looked away; he would cautiously step back out. The moment he sensed I might be photographing again, he retreated. This silent game of appearance and withdrawal went on for about ten minutes—an impromptu dance of curiosity and caution.Eventually, I shifted my stance and aimed the lens toward a neighboring building, watching him with my peripheral vision. When he finally stepped out again, perhaps thinking I had moved on, I quickly turned and captured the moment. The resulting image is a product of patience, subtle interaction, and a bit of playful deception. It freezes a brief, unguarded moment—an intersection of presence, place, and human instinct.

Urban Kaleidoscope
Captured in the heart of Tokyo, this image presents a vibrant, multifaceted view of city life through the mirrored entrance of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku. Known for its kaleidoscopic architecture, the structure reflects the constant flow of pedestrians and traffic in a dazzling array of angles and fragments. From the top of the escalators, I positioned myself to frame the city beyond while incorporating the dramatic play of reflections. The mirrors transform a straightforward street scene into something visually complex—an almost abstract composition that blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion. It’s a scene that captures both the individuality and the anonymity of urban existence, as hundreds of passersby are mirrored and multiplied, becoming part of a rhythmic, collective movement. This photograph is not just a depiction of Tokyo, but a meditation on perception in the modern city. It explores how architecture can reshape how we see the world around us, and how moments of reflection—both literal and figurative—can open up new ways of seeing the familiar.

Mr. Chap
Janusz Russek (Poland) is a circus clown with the stage name Mr. Chap. He has been working with Circus Humberto for the last three years. The collection of photographs tries to show what the average viewer does not see. Behind the scenes of the circus and private life in a small caravan. An attempt to show that a clown who makes everyone laugh during his performance has, like everyone else, his own worries that the viewer is not allowed to see.

Rescue Under Pressure
In one of the most harrowing images of the rescue, a man floats exhausted in the sea, on the verge of collapse, after jumping into the water out of fear of being returned to Libya. The Libyan Coast Guard had just appeared, and panic spread across the boat. He was one of six who jumped without hesitation. The Open Arms team reacted immediately, deploying rescue equipment to save them all.

I took this photo on July 11, 2024, at Shahbagh. Thousands of students gathered there for a protest, while a small number of police tried to block them. At one point, the protesters overcame the police barricade. This event marked the beginning of a more intense movement across the country, which eventually led to the fall of the authoritarian regime.

Camel Naz
Washing camels with seawater in the village of Soheili on Qeshm Island is a long-standing tradition of the local community on hot summer days, when herders take the camels to the beach of this village on the Persian Gulf to clean, cool down, and relieve heatstroke.Currently, there are about 900 camels on Qeshm Island, of which about 700 have identification and are tagged. These camels are mostly kept in the coastal town of Souza and the villages of Soheili, Masan, Diristan, Tonban, and Dorbeni.

Sheep Tree
"Redyk" is one of the most important events in the culture and tradition of pastoralists. Thousands of sheep descend from the mountains accompanied by highlanders and music. This event also attracts crowds of tourists. I took the photo "Sheep Tree" in the final phase of the Redyk at Szczawnica, when the sheep were driven into a specially prepared pen. The tourists created a natural frame, and the sheep formed an amazing tree shape.

An otherworldly aerial perspective reveals the landscape of Yaro Balochistan, Pakistan, sculpted by time and elemental forces. Deep russet formations contrast sharply with stark white plains, intricately veined by dark, fractal patterns. This abstract tableau, a testament to Earth's dynamic geology, evokes the raw beauty and ancient history of an arid world, highlighting nature's artistry in erosion

The Silent Oar of Hawizeh Marsh
At the break of dawn, a lone fisherman rows through the still waters of the Hawizeh Marsh, known in Iran as Hoor-al-Azim. With no engine, no modern gear—only a hand-carved wooden boat and a long bamboo pole—he practices a centuries-old tradition passed down through generations. This image is a tribute to the deep bond between man and nature, between culture and water. Here, in one of Iran's largest and most ecologically vital wetlands, silence speaks, and the ripples tell the story of resilience, memory, and life.

State of Mind: The Theater of the Modern Mind
State of Mind: The Theater of the Modern Mind dissects the fragmented psyche of contemporary society, offering a visual and satirical exploration of mental states shaped by consumerism, technology and social pressures. Each piece transforms the human head into a canvas filled with disturbing objects, symbolizing corruption, fear, addiction and isolation. Familiar forms like legos, gears, and balloons metaphorically expose the commodification of thought, the mechanization of the self, and emotional desolation. This collection confronts viewers with sharp yet poetic depictions that reflect the collision between personal agency and social manipulation. Through bold minimalism, selected colors and different arrangement, the series invites introspection and emotional resonance. State of Mind blurs the line between surrealism and reality, provoking critical reflection on the forces that shape our consciousness.

Heelflip in New Orleans – Margielyn Didal
Margielyn Didal is an olympic skateboarder from Cebu City, Philippines. This image was shot at sunset in New Orleans.I’ve been skateboarding since I was ten years old, and started photographing the scene when I was fifteen—drawn to the way skateboarding exists as both a sport and a subculture, a form of self-expression and survival. In 2017, I left my hometown of Baltimore, MD and moved across the country to Los Angeles to chase a dream: to document the lives and stories of female skateboarders. Now, at 32, this series is a reflection of two lifelong passions coming full circle. It’s about documenting the women who, like me, found something sacred in skateboarding: a sense of freedom, defiance, and community. Through these images, I want to honor the global sisterhood that has emerged in skate spaces—those who’ve carved their own lines and redefined what it means to take up space.
